Every bar is real cold-process soap: oils, butters, water, and lye, fully transformed in the cure — no synthetic detergents, no palm shortening, no synthetic preservatives. Color comes from clays and botanicals, scent from essential or fragrance oils, and the complete ingredient list is printed on every bar so you can check us. We aren't certified organic, and we won't use the word until someone certifies it.
Most mass-market 'soap' is actually a synthetic detergent bar with the glycerin removed. Cold-process soap keeps its glycerin — the thing that makes lather feel rich instead of stripping — and ours cures four to six weeks so the bar is harder and lasts longer. You're paying for what stays in, not what's added.
The ingredients are chosen to be gentle and moisturizing, and each bar lists everything in it. Skin is personal, though — if you have allergies or sensitivities, do a small patch test first.

Curing is evaporation. Over four to six weeks the bar loses excess water, creating a harder, longer-lasting bar with a richer lather.
Keep it on a well-draining soap dish and let it dry completely between uses. A bar left in standing water softens in days; the same bar dried between uses runs for weeks.
Every bar is handcrafted in small batches, so slight variations in color, swirl, and design are normal. No two bars are exactly alike — that's the point of handmade.
